Sustainability

The broader use of biomass for the sustainable production of materials is viewed as a key part of a circular bio-economy. To achieve that type of approach it is important to develop processing strategies where there is optimal utilization of biomass throughout the entire value chain. At Norse Biotech, our first step in the chain is to capture valuable small molecules and to subsequently extract the residual biopolymers, lignin, cellulose, and hemicellulose and convert them into high value uses
